Job Description:
The Senior Systems Engineer will be the "technical liaison" between the technical staff of the customer and represent the customer needs/requirements to internal sales, marketing, product development, engineering and IT. They will provide cross-functional representation with counterparts from these departments within existing voice and data groups as well. More specifically, they will be an integral part of the sales team to assure customer integration and implementation of established products and services; provide technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, installations, or on-going support of company products to ensure performance demonstrations meets customer requirements. They will be responsible for architecting multimedia solutions that meet customer needs. The Senior Systems Engineer (SE) works closely with marketing and engineering in support of network development efforts, alpha and beta testing, and new product rollouts and taking a lead role in responding to RFP's and RFI's.
Qualifications:
- 6 to 8 years in network engineering, telecommunications, Windows based applications, or real-time traffic management.
- 5 years of applications/solutions pre-sales preferably with Video, Voice, Data Sharing, Collaborative Editing.
- Proven network and application troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of and experience with: routing protocols, remote access methods, layered communication protocols, system administration roles, Enterprise security, Multiple Operating Systems, Client Server Software, VPN's and Network security, and Multimedia applications and solutions.
- Hands-on experience with IP networks.
- Understanding of QoS and VPN networks and design, ability to make technical presentations at senior executive management level, ability to clearly present technical concepts in a non-technical way.
